Finance and Restructuring Team Receives Two M&A Advisor Turnaround Awards

Choate's Finance & Restructuring team has been recognized in The M&A Advisor’s 18th Annual Turnaround Awards for the "Consumer Discretionary Deal of the Year (Under $100MM)" and the "Restructuring of the Year ($500MM to $1B)."

The award for Consumer Discretionary Deal of the Year (Under $100MM)" is the result of our role in the joint venture between Gordon Brothers Commercial & Industrial, LLC and Nations Capital Inc., in the purchase of substantially all assets of Nova Wildcat Shur-Line Holdings, Inc. and subsidiaries ("H2 Brands Group"). The Choate deal team included Doug Gooding, Kevin Simard, Daniela Spanos, Kevin Connolly, Hampton Foushee, Jacob Lang, Samuel Polio, Brian Reese, and Lyndsey Kruzer.

The "Restructuring of the Year ($500MM to $1B)" award is related to Choate's representation of First Eagle Alternative Credit in connection with West Marine's recent restructuring efforts. The Choate deal team included Kevin Simard, Seth Mennillo, Jen Fenn, John Ventola, Scott Moore, and Julia Class.

The awards were presented during the 2024 Distressed Investing Summit on March 18-19th.
