Nan Giner Named 2014 “Top Woman of Law” by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly

Nan Giner, co-chair of the Wealth Management Group at Choate, has been named a “Top Woman of Law” by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly for her outstanding accomplishments in the legal field.  The prestigious award is given to a small group of “exceptional” women who are pioneers, educators, trailblazers and role models.  Ms. Giner will receive her award on October 23, 2014. 

Ms. Giner has almost 30 years of experience advising wealthy individuals and families on their complex gift and estate planning.  She also serves as an estate trustee for various trusts with over $300 million in aggregate value.  As co-chair of Choate’s Wealth Management Group, Ms. Giner helps oversee a team of over 60 wealth management professionals.

Ms. Giner currently serves as a trustee of the University of Massachusetts Amherst Foundation, where she chairs the Planned Giving Committee.  She is also a trustee of the Social Law Library in Boston.

Ms. Giner received her JD from Stanford Law School in 1985 and her BA, cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1982.
