Erin Teetshorn participated in the firm's Summer Associate Program after her second year of law school. While in law school, Ms. Teetshorn worked as research assistant for Professor Martin Redish, researching civil procedure issues including the Erie Doctrine. She also interned in the General Counsel's office at the American Dental Association, focusing on general corporate matters and intellectual property enforcement.
Prior to joining Choate, Ms. Teetshorn served as the Legal Counsel to the Minority Party of the Massachusetts State Senate. Her work included bill construction and drafting, statutory and policy analysis, constitutional law review and legal counsel.
Practice Focus
Corporate & Securities: engages in general corporate matters for public and private companies, including assisting start up companies with formation and equity offerings.
Private Equity: assists leading private equity funds and their portfolio companies with equity investments, fund formation and buyout transactions.
Finance & Restructuring: represents secured lenders, borrowers and equity sponsors in financing transactions.
Representative Engagements
- Assisted in representation of agent in $100 million senior syndicated revolving and term loan credit facility for professional sports team.
- Member of team representing private equity fund in $100 million acquisition of public company.
- Assisted with representation of public utilities company in underwritten debt offering.
