Ginger Hsu

Ginger Hsu is a member of the firm’s Major Commercial Litigation and Government Enforcement & Compliance practice groups.  Her practice focuses on representation of companies and individuals in government investigations and internal corporate investigations.  Ms. Hsu also has experience handling complex commercial litigation and arbitration matters in both state and federal courts. 

Ms. Hsu recently served as a Special Assistant District Attorney in Boston where she gained considerable criminal trial experience.  While in law school, she worked as a judicial intern to the Honorable William G. Young at the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.

Practice Focus

Major Commercial Litigation:  representation of leading corporations and financial institutions in complex commercial litigation and arbitration involving breach of contract, fraud, securities, products liability and patent infringement claims.

Government Enforcement & Compliance:  representation of individuals and corporations in government and internal investigations and litigation involving healthcare fraud, securities fraud, and other civil and criminal regulatory matters.

Representative Engagements

• Assisted in several internal investigations prompted by claims such as stock option backdating, revenue recognition and public corruption.
• Assisted in representation of major pharmaceutical companies in complex government investigations into off-label marketing practices.
• Assisted in defense of numerous individuals in connection with federal criminal investigations.
• Assisted in defense of leading technology company in consumer class action.
• Assisted in drafting brief that successfully obtained summary judgment for national financial institution in contractual dispute.
• Managed successful administrative appeal for local non-profit organization.

Professional and Community Involvement

Ms. Hsu is actively involved in pro bono work and has represented an individual facing deportation, a community group seeking government funding, and indigent individuals in criminal matters.  She also participates in the firm's collaboration with the Charles Hamilton Houston Institute for Race & Justice.  Her community activities include coaching a team of local middle school students as part of an after-school Mock Trial Program with Citizen Schools and Discovering Justice.
