Melissa Waite advises financial institutes on a range of complex financial transactions, including acquisition financings, working capital credit facilities and other secured asset-based and cash flow loans across a variety of industries and business sectors.
Prior to joining Choate, Ms. Waite was an associate at Riemer & Braunstein, LLP where she practiced in banking, finance, technology, and life sciences financing. She represented lending institutions in all aspects of commercial finance transactions, including UCC-secured first priority and mezzanine financing transactions with venture capital-backed tech and life sciences early stage companies and established public companies.
Finance: represents secured lenders, borrowers and equity sponsors in a range of financing transactions.
Bankruptcy & Restructuring: represents secured creditors and debtors in a variety of creditors’ rights and insolvency matters, including restructuring, workouts, and cash collateral and debtor-in-possession financings.
