Rachna Vyas is an associate in Choate’s Litigation Department. Her practice focuses on government enforcement & compliance and complex commercial litigation.
Ms. Vyas is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, where she served as Executive Editor of Ecology Law Quarterly and Articles Editor of Berkeley Journal of Entertainment and Sports Law. During her first year of law school, Ms. Vyas was a judicial extern for the Honorable Paul D. Wilson, Massachusetts Superior Court. In her second year of law school, Ms. Vyas participated in and won the Giles Sutherland Rich National Moot Court Competition, for which she was also awarded best brief during the regional round. In her final year of law school, Ms. Vyas was a legal extern at the International Maritime Organization, where she briefed the Secretariat on emerging issues in maritime law and helped implement the Legal Committee’s resolutions on maritime autonomous surface ships and the operation of fraudulent ship registries.
Foreign Influence Compliance: manage NIH, HHS, and/or DOJ investigations, enforcement inquiries, and Congressional oversight requests into systematic programs of foreign influence at U.S. academic and research institutions.
