Susan Yoon Parker

Susan Yoon Parker is a partner in Choate’s Private Equity Group. She represents private equity sponsors, investment funds and operating companies in a variety of financing transactions, including high yield debt offerings, securitization facilities and syndicated senior, subordinated and unitranche credit facilities. She has also represented strategic buyers and private equity funds in merger and acquisition transactions, joint ventures and other direct investments.  In addition, Susan has advised private investment funds and founders in connection with fund formation matters, investment activities and general partner arrangements.

Clients look to Susan’s deep and multi-disciplinary commercial and legal experience to navigate the complexities of leveraged buyout and alternative investment and financing transactions. 

Before joining Choate, Susan held several senior-level roles at global investment institutions. Most recently, she was a Managing Director in the North American Investment Division of Hancock Financial Services, where she led a variety of transactions in the Power and Infrastructure group, including advising Hancock Capital Management in the formation of its inaugural $2 billion infrastructure fund. She also served as senior counsel at Audax Group, advising both its private equity business unit and its senior and mezzanine debt business in acquisition and financing matters.  Susan was also as senior legal counsel at The Boston Consulting Group, where she led a variety of strategic partnerships and acquisitions including its sponsorship and anchor investment in B Capital Group, a private investment fund raised by co-Facebook founder, Eduardo Saverin, and Starbucks Corporation's investment in Formation, a BCG Digital Ventures personalization machine learning platform.

Susan began her legal career in the Boston office of a large international law firm as an associate in the private equity group.
