Event:  How to Protect Your Proprietary Technology in the US
Launch in US Alliance

Charles Lyon, partner in Intellectual Property, presented “How to Protect Your Proprietary Technology in the US” as part of the Launch in US Alliance’s webinar series.

Dr. Lyon provided an overview of the US patent system that will help international companies entering the US market determine whether they should file a US patent to protect their intellectual property.

The presentation included a discussion of the patent filing process and filing time; which types of products should be considered for filing; what can happen if companies do not file; approximate costs of filing; the risk of disclosing information about the technology; whether a company’s patents in other countries are helpful in the US; and what can be done if someone infringes on your company’s patent.
