Choate Helps Prepare MassCONNECT's Life Sciences Innovators for Industry Success

Choate Event Announcement

 | July 1, 2013

Choate attorneys have helped put forward-thinking life sciences entrepreneurs on the path to success by serving as MassCONNECT sponsors and mentors.  MassCONNECT, a life sciences and healthcare entrepreneur mentorship program, is run by MassBio, a not-for-profit organization that provides services and support for the Massachusetts biotechnology industry.

Choate mentors William Asher, Brian Goldstein and Rolando Medina, PhD  worked directly with the entrepreneurs throughout the 8-10 week program.

Entrepreneurs selected for this round of MassCONNECT are focused on cutting-edge issues across the industry, including:  nonsurgical alternatives to gastric bypass surgery, adherence to treatment in cystic fibrosis, boosting stem cells’ anti-inflammatory responses, and tracking complex patterns in mice used for neuroscience research.

Based on Choate’s extensive experience representing life sciences companies at all stages of the business lifecycle, our mentors provided strategic counsel on the key corporate and intellectual property issues that these companies will face as start-ups and beyond.
