Dr. Brenda Herschbach Jarrell Named a 2014 “IP Stars – Top 250 Women in IP” by Managing Intellectual Property

Choate announced today that Brenda Herschbach Jarrell, PhD was selected by Managing Intellectual Property magazine as a 2014 “IP Stars – Top 250 Women in IP.”The publication identifies the “best of the best” leading female intellectual property attorneys in the US.

As chair of Choate’s Intellectual Property Group and co-chair of the firm’s Life Sciences Group, Dr. Jarrell brings extensive technical credentials and scientific training – spanning multiple disciplines from theoretical quantum physics to synthetic organic chemistry to molecular biology – to her practice.  She is well versed in many technologies in the biotech, pharmaceutical and specialty chemical industries, and has experience representing all types of companies and institutions at all stages of the life sciences business lifecycle, as well as those who invest in them.  Dr. Jarrell received her JD, cum laude, from Harvard Law School in 1998, her PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology from the University of California, San Francisco in 1993, and both her AB and MA in chemistry, magna cum laude, from Harvard University in 1988.
