Julia Hesse and Christine Savage wrote the chapter “Summary of Fraud and Abuse Statutes & Regulations: Massachusetts” in American Health Lawyers Association’s Fraud and Abuse 50-State Survey, where they discuss state healthcare fraud and abuse statutes, regulations and other pertinent authorities such as the rules governing the practice of medicine.  Ms. Hesse and Ms. Savage examine the regulations of anti-kickback, prohibitions on self-referral, false claims/fraud & abuse, unfair business practices and general whistleblower protections.
