William Asher, co-chair of the Business & Technology and Life Sciences groups, participated in a roundtable hosted by Harvard Business School on the impact of the JOBS Act on the public capital markets since its enactment.  The discussion focused on the “IPO on-ramp” provisions of the JOBS Act, changes to shareholder thresholds for registration under the Securities Exchange Act, and how the structure and dynamics of the public equity markets affect smaller companies.  The panel was moderated by Professor Clayton Rose of Harvard Business School and drew academics, investors, bankers and attorneys from leading companies and organizations, including Nasdaq, Fidelity, the New York Stock Exchange and Venrock, as well as representatives of the US Department of the Treasury.
