Doug Gooding Named First Circuit Regent of the American College of Bankruptcy
Doug Gooding has been selected to serve a three-year term as the First Circuit Regent of the American College of Bankruptcy (ACB). Circuit Regents are chosen by respected insolvency practitioners throughout the United States. Doug will be responsible for the Circuit Admissions Council, as well as assisting in education and fundraising efforts for the First Circuit.
Doug is co-chair of Choate’s Business Department and has more than 30 years of experience advising on restructuring and bankruptcy transactions, particularly in connection with debtor-in-possession lending and the representation of holders of senior, second lien, and mezzanine debt in complex restructurings. He has advised many purchasers and sellers in connection with the sale of distressed assets. He also specializes in advising troubled companies in various industries including healthcare and retail and has extensive experience in mass tort bankruptcy cases representing insurance providers.
The American College of Bankruptcy was founded in 1989 and is an invitation-only honorary public service association of United States and international insolvency professionals, which is dedicated to the enhancement of professionalism, scholarship, and service in bankruptcy and insolvency law and practice.
