PDFTron Systems Closes Two Add-On Acquisitions

Choate represented PDFTron Systems, a portfolio company of Silversmith Capital Partners, in two recent add-on acquisitions.

In March, PDFTron acquired BCL Technologies, a developer of document understanding and conversion technologies, as well as B2C solutions such as PDFOnline and easyPDF converter. Only three months later, the company continues to expand with the acquisition of ActivePDF, a global provider of high-volume and scalable server-side PDF automation components to Fortune 500 companies.

These acquisitions advance PDFTron’s position as a leading document technology platform powering digital transformation and demonstrate the company’s rapid growth following a growth investment led by Silversmith Capital Partners in May 2019.
