Digital Map Products Acquires Mexico Business Directory

Press Release

 | November 7, 2017

Choate recently advised geospatial mapping and intelligence pioneer Digital Map Products (DMP) in its cross-border acquisition of Mexico Business Directory, a leader in geocoded information database technology. This is the second add-on acquisition Choate has handled for DMP as its looks to significantly expand its global geographic footprint, starting with North America.

In July of this year, Choate advised DMP as it looked North, acquiring DMTI Spatial from Neopost Canada. DMTI is Canada’s market leader in location intelligence and data quality.  DMP next turned its gaze to the South, culminating in the acquisition announced today. Choate also represented Silversmith Capital Partners when it backed DMP and its leadership team, in a transaction announced in September 2016.

The Choate team was led by Christian Atwood and Anthony Cahill. This is the 20th cross-border transaction executed by the Firm in 2017.
