Alexander Bevans
Alex Bevans is a member of Choate’s Intellectual Property Litigation group. Alex helps clients across a range of industries, including biotechnology, to protect their intellectual property portfolios by successfully resolving their trade secrets and patent disputes. In addition, Alex has experience representing clients, including a large investment advisor and multiple corporate board members, in general commercial litigation.
While in law school, Alex completed an internship with the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office and served as a judicial intern to Magistrate Judge Judith Dein at the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
Prior to law school, Alex worked as an economic consultant advising on antitrust litigation, mergers and acquisitions, and employee job actions.

- Represent biotech company in patent infringement litigation relating to genetic and epigenetic sequencing.
- Constr. Laborers Pension Tr. for S. Cal. v. Meketa Inv. Grp., Inc., C.D. Cal.: Counsel for investment advisor in litigation relating to alleged ERISA violations.
- Represented artificial intelligence company client in patent infringement and trade secret litigation relating to systems for de-identifying data.
- Represented corporate board member clients in litigation relating to direct and derivative breach of fiduciary duty claims.
- Successfully opposed third-party subpoena for television station.
