Brian Lenihan Named “M&A Trailblazer” by The National Law Journal
Boston, MA, September 26, 2016 – Choate, Hall & Stewart LLP announced today that Brian Lenihan, co-chair of the firm’s Private Equity Group, has been named to The National Law Journal’s (NLJ) annual list of “Mergers & Acquisitions Trailblazers.” According to the NLJ, “these talented legal professionals…are raising the bar to achieve favorable outcomes for their companies and clients.”
As co-chair of the firm’s Private Equity Group, Lenihan leads a team of 50 lawyers who focus primarily on middle market transactions ranging from $10 million to $500 million. The NLJ highlighted Lenihan’s practice, which “focuses exclusively on private equity firms and middle-market deals and is heavily weighted toward technology companies.” Lenihan was selected for his trailblazing representation of groundbreaking technology companies “from beginning to end.” According to Lenihan, “It’s extremely rewarding to watch a company get built, be a part of it and watch it reach a successful exit.”
Lenihan is a member of Choate’s Executive Committee. He received his J.D., summa cum laude, Order of the Coif, from Boston College Law School in 1993 and his B.A., cum laude, from Dartmouth College in 1989.
