Canara, Inc. Acquires Capitol Power Group

Choate represented Canara, Inc., a portfolio company of Columbia Capital, in its acquisition of Capital Power Group (CPG), a data center services provider based in Virginia. Columbia Capital plans to combine Canara, which supports data centers’ power needs through predictive analysis and asset management of backup systems, and CPG to form a new entity, which will operate under the CPG company name. This transaction will provide CPG with increased access to capital in support of its growth strategy, as well as provide the ability to leverage Canara’s proprietary predictive analytics software to expand their capabilities in the data center industry.
