Choate Adds Danielle Pelot as Partner in Government Enforcement Group

Choate, Hall & Stewart LLP today announced that Danielle Pelot has joined the firm as a partner in the Government Enforcement and Financial Litigation Practice Group. Pelot joins Choate from Nixon Peabody where she served as the Deputy Practice Group Leader for its Government Investigations and White Collar Defense practice group.

Pelot brings more than a decade of experience to Choate. She represents companies and individuals in critical investigative and compliance matters involving federal and state government enforcement authorities. Her background includes high-profile investigations across a range of industries, from health care and financial services to construction and public affairs. Pelot has extensive experience counseling pharmaceutical and medical device companies and their executives and employees through matters alleging fraud, false claims, and kickbacks. In 2013, she served as a Special Assistant District Attorney for the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office where she prosecuted various criminal matters and tried cases to verdict.

Pelot has been recognized for exceptional standing in the legal community in Massachusetts Super Lawyers since 2007, as a “Rising Star,” and in Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly in 2011, as one of thirty “Up & Coming Lawyers” in Massachusetts. Additionally, she was named one of Boston’s “40 Under 40” by the Boston Business Journal in 2015. She has served on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association since 2013. Pelot received her J.D. from Boston College School of Law and her B.A. from Harvard University.
