Choate Strengthens Private Equity Practice with Addition of Kimberley J. Kaplan-Gross

BOSTON, DECEMBER 01, 2016 – Choate, Hall & Stewart LLP today announced that Kimberley J. Kaplan-Gross has joined the firm as a partner in the Private Equity Department. Kaplan-Gross joins Choate from Cooley LLP where she founded the Boston office’s Fund Formation practice and was a partner.

Kaplan-Gross brings more than 20 years of experience to Choate’s globally recognized private equity practice. She represents domestic and international private equity and venture capital firm sponsors in fund formation, firm establishment (including team spin-outs), management company and general partner structuring and governance matters, regulatory matters, and creation and operation of separate account and special purpose investment programs. Additionally, she advises institutional investors in their investments in private equity funds, as well as in their acquisitions and dispositions of portfolios of private investment fund and operating company interests.

She received her J.D., Order of the Coif, from University of Miami School of Law in 1994 and her B.S. from Boston University in 1989.
