Choate Wins Healthcare/Life Sciences Deal of the Year

The M&A Advisor announced that Choate is the winner of the 10th Annual International M&A Advisor Award for Cross Border Healthcare/Life Sciences Deal of the Year. The award was for the acquisition of robotics developer KB Medical SA by Globus Medical, Inc., for which Choate represented KB Medical SA.

The Choate team, led by Bill Haulbrook, Larry Naughton, and Chris Simpson, represented KB Medical SA in a Share Purchase Transaction pursuant to which 100% of the equity of KB Medical SA was sold to Globus Medical Ireland, Ltd., an Irish private limited company and wholly-owned subsidiary of Globus Medical, Inc. The transaction highlights Choate's extensive experience in cross-border M&A transactions, as KB Medical SA is located in Lausanne, Switzerland and Globus Medical, Inc. is based in Audubon, Pennsylvania. Choate's representation of KB Medical SA also includes ongoing portfolio strategy work led by Bill Haulbrook and the Firm's Life Sciences & Technology Companies team.

The winners will be honored at the 2018 International M&A Advisor Awards Gala at The Princeton Club in New York. The Gala is the premier celebration of the year for the industry's leading international M&A Dealmakers.
