Danielle Pelot Speaking at the ABA 2023 Midyear Tax Meeting

Danielle Pelot will be a panelist at the ABA 2023 Midyear Tax Meeting discussing, “Tax Enforcement Under State False Claims Acts: As States Begin to Allow Tax-Based Qui Tam Suits, Is a New Kind of Tax Controversy Taking Hold?” on February 11, 2023.

Danielle will join four others to provide attendees with an understanding of recent state-level legislative developments that have led to tax-based False Claims Act (FCA) enforcement; FCA procedures and processes and how they may apply in tax-based cases; and how FCA cases compare to, and perhaps may impact, other types of tax enforcement.
