Shaina Wamsley London Recognized As Finance Industry Leader

Honored by her colleagues and peers for excellence in the finance industry, Shaina Wamsley London was named as one of the Secured Finance Network’s 40 Under 40. One of only a few legal professionals selected for this recognition, this award highlights Shaina’s accomplishments and leadership within Choate, as well as the larger finance community.

Shaina is known among clients for her problem-solving and collaborative mindset, and represents banks, finance companies, insurance companies, and other lenders in all aspects of secured lending transactions across a range of industries, with a particular focus on sports, retail and consumer products, and technology. She has played a significant role in transactions for companies such as Bank of America, Truist Bank, and PNC Bank, and is frequently relied on by clients to advise them on “what’s market.”

Shaina is a valued member of the finance community both in and out of the office. She is recognized as a leader within the Finance & Restructuring group, spearheading a number of training programs and knowledge management initiatives, including a program designed to improve standard legal documents. Shaina also serves as a formal and informal mentor to numerous associates within the corporate department, and is known for her “open door” policy. Outside the office, Shaina serves on the Board of Directors of Family Independence, Inc., a charitable organization that provides residential services to young moms and other at-risk families in the Boston area, and is a member of the Young Leaders Council of the Boston Sports Museum. Additionally, she is an active participant in providing pro bono legal services through Choate, including legal advice to various non-profit organizations and female-owned small businesses.

Established in 2016, the 40 Under 40 Awards recognize the achievements of young professionals in the secured finance industry who both exemplify excellence in their careers and contribute to their communities and the industry as a whole.
