Stephanie Schonewald Co-Chairs and Moderates IP Watchdog 2023 Life Sciences Masters

Stephanie Schonewald will moderate the panel, "Best Practices and Tips for Winning at the PTAB" at the IP Watchdog Life Sciences Masters Conference on Wednesday, October 18, 2023. 

This panel, taking place at 11:35 a.m. at the IP Watchdog Studios, Ashburn, Virgina, will discuss best practices and tips for winning at the PTAB, including the framing of arguments, selection of experts, and formulation of expert reports, in light of the differences between PTAB and district court proceedings. Unlike most district court judges, the Administrative Patent Judges (APJs) consist of technically savvy engineers and scientists. As a result, what works in district court or on appeal to the Federal Circuit does not necessarily work while appearing at the PTAB.
