TA Associates Acquires Auction Technology Group and Proxibid

Choate provided counsel to TA Associates in its acquisition of Proxibid, Inc., an online marketplace for connecting buyers and sellers across North America, and acted as US counsel in its concurrent acquisition of Auction Technology Group (ATG), a leading online platform for auctions across Europe and the United States. The two companies will be brought under the ATG umbrella with headquarters in London, but significant operations will remain in Omaha, Nebraska where Proxibid is based. Travers Smith provided UK counsel to TA Associates on both transactions.
