Christine Savage Earns Distinguished Achievement Award from UMass Amherst

Christine Savage will receive a Distinguished Achievement Award at the University of Massachusetts Amherst (UMass Amherst) Undergraduate Commencement ceremony on Friday, May 16, 2025.

Christine earned a BA, cum laude, from UMass Amherst in 1992 where she was a Harry S. Truman Scholar. She serves as a director and the secretary/clerk for the UMass Amherst Foundation’s Board of Trustees and is a former chair of the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences Dean’s Advisory Board. She is also a founding member of the UMass Club. Christine established the Dr. Charles W. Solt and Doris J. Solt Scholarship at UMass Amherst in honor of her parents and to support out-of-state undergraduates pursuing studies in the social and behavioral sciences.

After earning her J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School in 1995, Christine joined Choate Hall & Stewart LLP where she is currently a partner and co-chair of the Government Enforcement and Compliance Group. She has nearly 30 years of experience assisting clients, particularly health care and life sciences companies, in navigating government or internal investigations and understanding their regulatory obligations. In addition, Christine has deep experience counseling premier academic institutions and their affiliated medical centers on matters related to research compliance, integrity and security, and is considered one of the nation’s leading subject matter experts in this area. She has earned some of the legal industry’s most notable accolades for her expertise, is regularly invited to speak at conferences and events, and is a member of Choate’s governance committee and alumni relations committee.
