Choate, Hall & Stewart Named a Finalist in Six M&A Advisor "Deal of the Year" Categories
Choate has been named a finalist in the 15th Annual M&A Advisor Awards in six categories, including Corporate and Strategic Acquisition Deal of the Year ($100MM-$250MM), Private Equity Deal of the Year ($100MM-$250MM), Private Equity Deal of the Year ($50MM-$75MM), and three Sector Deal of the Year categories. The annual M&A Advisor Awards recognize the leading dealmakers, firms and transactions, and “celebrate the creativity, perseverance and ingenuity of the industry’s professionals.” The winners will be announced at an event on November 9, 2016 in New York City.
Choate was named a finalist in the “Corporate and Strategic Acquisition Deal of the Year ($100MM - $250MM)” and “Health Care and Life Sciences Deal of the Year (over $100MM)” categories for its representation of Curaspan Health Group, Inc., a leading provider of post-acute care transition services, in its sale to naviHealth, Inc., a subsidiary of Cardinal Health, a Fortune 25 company. The Choate deal team was led by partner David Brown and counsel David Katz.
Choate was named a finalist in the “Private Equity Deal of the Year ($100MM-$250MM)” and “Software and Cloud Base Deal of the Year” categories for its representation of Great Hill Partners in the purchase of a majority stake in Evolve IP, The Cloud Services Company™. The Choate deal team was led by partners Steve Meredith and Sean Monahan, with assistance from associates Rachel Connors, Hanna Roos, Shaina Wamsley, Rebecca Wilsker and a host of specialists.
Choate also was named a finalist in the “Private Equity Deal of the Year ($50MM-$75MM)” and “Telecommunication Services Deal of the Year” categories for its representation of M/C Partners in its acquisition of a majority stake in Everstream Solutions, LLC, an Ohio-based provider of fiber-based Ethernet, Internet, and data center solutions. The Choate deal team was led by partner Brian Lenihan with assistance from associates Shaina Wamsley and Rebecca Wilsker.
