Choate Elects Six to Partnership for 2023

Six Choate attorneys - Courtney Carr, Dallas Cruz, Lyndsey Kruzer, Jonathan Marshall, Samuel Rudman, and Tobin Sullivan - have been elected to partnership of the firm, effective January 1, 2023.

Courtney Carr is a member of the Family Office Services group, providing comprehensive and personalized estate planning advice to high net worth individuals and their families to help them grow and protect multi-generational wealth. She specializes in developing customized estate plans for clients designed to minimize estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer taxes, and to meet each client’s personal goals for wealth transfer.

Dallas Cruz is a member of the Private Equity/M&A group, representing clients in all aspects of leveraged finance across the market spectrum, including large cap and middle-market deals. She advises private equity sponsors, private and public company borrowers, and financial institutions in acquisition financings, asset-based credit facilities, fund financings, and workouts across a wide range of industries, as well as strategic buyers and private equity funds in merger and acquisition transactions, joint ventures, and other direct investments.

Lyndsey Kruzer is a member of the Private Equity/M&A and Complex Investigations & Litigation groups, providing counsel to companies on the full range of issues including employee relations, restrictive covenants, and compliance measures. She regularly advises private equity, venture capital, and strategic investors regarding employment diligence, regulatory, and transactional issues.  Lyndsey also has extensive experience conducting investigations for companies and litigating employment, contract, and other disputes in both state and federal court.

Jonathan Marshall is a member of the Finance & Restructuring group, advising financial institutions and companies in a range of complex financial transactions, with a concentration on corporate restructurings and loan workouts. He specializes in advising first- and second-lien lenders, troubled companies, and other strategic parties in both in- and out-of-court restructurings. Jonathan also has substantial experience representing insurance providers throughout the bankruptcy process, including in mass tort bankruptcies throughout the country.

Samuel Rudman is a member of the Complex Investigations & Litigation group, counseling a wide range of clients across industries in brand-threatening, high-stakes civil litigation.  He has extensive experience defending companies in class actions and cases arising under the antitrust laws, and he has recently tried or arbitrated cases involving alleged breaches of fiduciary duty, alleged breaches of representations and warranties in M&A agreements, and complex reinsurance issues.

Tobin Sullivan is a member of the Private Equity/M&A and Life Sciences & Technology groups, counseling growth equity and venture capital investors and growing life sciences and technology companies, ranging from start-ups to pre-IPO companies to global public companies, on a wide range of transactional and corporate law matters. He has extensive experience representing investors in growth equity, venture capital and cross-over financings for life sciences, biotech, healthcare and healthIT companies, he is described by clients as a highly responsive, strategic thinker who balances his strong market knowledge with practical business advice.
