Choate Attorneys Recognized in The Best Lawyers in America® 2022 Edition

The Best Lawyers in America® has recognized 43 Choate attorneys in its 2022 edition. Recognition in Best Lawyers® is based entirely on peer review and is widely regarded by both clients and legal professionals as a significant honor.

Three of Choate’s partners – Robert M. Buchanan, Jr. (Litigation - Antitrust), Michael T. Gass (Corporate Compliance Law), and Douglas R. Gooding (Litigation - Bankruptcy) – were named “Lawyer of the Year” in Boston for their respective practice areas. These recognitions are awarded to individual attorneys with the highest overall peer-feedback for a specific practice area and geographic region.

Choate also had three attorneys – Kristen C. Buteau, (Patent Law), Brian E. Reese, Ph.D. (Intellectual Property Law), and Stephanie L. Schonewald, Ph.D. (Intellectual Property Law) – listed as “Ones to Watch” for the second year in a row. These awards are given to attorneys who are earlier in their careers for outstanding professional excellence in private practice in the U.S.
