Dr. Saie Mogre assists Choate’s life sciences clients by utilizing her background in molecular biology, cancer biology, and translational therapeutics to help with the preparation and prosecution of patent applications, as well as freedom-to-operate and patentability analyses. Prior to joining Choate, Saie worked as a Technical Advisor at a Boston law firm, where she drafted and prosecuted biotechnology patent applications primarily in the gene editing and antibody therapeutics fields. She also managed domestic and international intellectual property portfolios and conducted landscape analyses to support patent strategy. Saie received her PhD in Pathobiology from The Pennsylvania State University, where her research focused on the role of the endoplasmic reticulum stress sensor IRE1α in cancer. She subsequently completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School, where she investigated biomarkers and therapeutic strategies for endometrial cancers. Through her research and professional experience, Saie has developed expertise in gene editing technologies, recombinant protein expression models, translational therapeutics, next-generation sequencing, and three-dimensional cell culture systems.
