Madison Garrett
Madison is a member of Choate’s Intellectual Property Litigation group. She represents a variety of clients in commercial disputes and intellectual property matters, including patent litigation.
While in law school, Madison worked on complex litigation matters through various legal internships. As part of her legal internship with the Office of General Counsel at Boston Children’s Hospital, Madison worked on behalf of the Medical Legal Partnership to ally health care providers with lawyers to improve the health and well-being of vulnerable populations.
Representative Engagements
- Represent biopharmaceutical companies in Hatch-Waxman patent litigation.
- Counsel for construction company and private investor in an action alleging bad faith, intentional misconduct, and violations of an operating agreement related to a real estate development in Boston, MA.
- Assist biotechnology company with responding to petition for post-grant review at the PTAB.
- Performed Safe Harbor analysis and drafted opinion memorandum regarding likelihood of patent infringement.
- Represented individual in landlord-tenant dispute relating to claims under a number of state statutes. Through negotiations, the matter resulted in a successful settlement.
