Mark DeFeo, Co-Chair of Choate’s Private Equity and M&A Group, helps private equity funds to successfully complete buy-outs, growth equity financings, exits, and other significant transactions. Mark is regarded as a trusted advisor to clients throughout the lifecycle of their investments, adept at handling the acquisition or equity investment on the front-end of a transaction and the exit on the back-end. Mark provides further value to clients by helping in the advancement of the business as it grows through add-on acquisitions, equity financings, and other significant inflection points, while also serving as outside general counsel for the portfolio companies.

Mark also counsels portfolio companies, search funds and family offices on complex M&A and general corporate matters.
