Dr. Dvir Reif assists Choate’s life sciences clients by utilizing his background in biochemistry, molecular biology, and structural biology to support the preparation and prosecution of patent applications, as well as freedom-to-operate and patentability analyses. Prior to joining Choate, Dvir earned his PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Cell Biology from Harvard University, where his research focused on elucidating chaperone-mediated folding pathways of essential eukaryotic proteins. His work combined biochemical, biophysical, and computational approaches – including cryo-EM, in vitro translation assays, and predictive modeling – to characterize protein interactions and folding mechanisms. In addition to his doctoral research, Dvir has experience in computational drug discovery, structural biology, and mentoring junior scientists.
