Choate represented TradeZero, a US-focused online brokerage serving active traders, in its agreement to be acquired by the trading and investing platform eToro for up to $231M. Founded in 2015, TradeZero’s next generation trading platforms, global broker-dealer infrastructure, highly engaged community of traders, and access to the Canadian market will strengthen eToro’s presence in North America. Together, these capabilities create opportunities to accelerate eToro’s product innovation, enhance the client experience, and broaden the products and services offered across both platforms. TradeZero has operations across the US, Canada, and international markets. The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions, including obtaining requisite regulatory approvals, and is currently expected to close during the first half of 2027.
