Ellen Corcoran will present on “Careers in IP” as part of the University of Chicago’s Career Exploration Week program in Boston on September 9, 2026 from 8:30–9:30 AM at the Hyatt Regency Boston. As part of the program, Ellen will take part in a discussion focused on careers in intellectual property. She will share insights on her educational and professional background, discuss her path to becoming a patent agent, and provide a firsthand look at the day-to-day work involved in helping clients protect and manage intellectual property. Career Exploration Week gives incoming University of Chicago students the opportunity to explore potential career paths, connect with alumni and employers, and gain exposure to a variety of industries before beginning classes.
