Mike Comerford has over twenty years of experience representing debtors, debtor- in-possession (DIP) and prepetition agents, ad hoc groups of creditors, hedge funds and private equity firms in matters concerning oil and gas, shipping, services, retail, automotive, health care, consumer goods and real estate industries. He also provides restructuring advice to creditors throughout the capital structure including both individual creditors and lender groups in out-of-court restructurings, bankruptcy cases and special situation transactions. This includes representing creditors in various middle market workouts and restructurings across a range of industries. In addition, Mike advises independent directors and officers on restructuring strategies in connection with various complex transactions. Recognition The Legal 500 (2021-2022) Representative Engagements ACF Finco I LP, an affiliate of Ares Commercial Finance, as the Administrative Agent and Collateral Agent for revolving DIP financing arrangements totaling in excess of $55 million to Bamboo Purchaser, Inc. and its affiliates in its Chapter 11 case in the Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. Represented Bank of America, as Administrative Agent and lender, in the Chapter 11 liquidation of Rite Aid, including approximately $1.9 billion in debtor-in-possession financing and the negotiation of a restructuring support agreement and confirmed plan of liquidation.
