Margo Monroe will present “IP as a Catalyst for Investment and Growth of a Startup/Venture” on Tuesday, March 24 at Boston University from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. She will discuss what potential partners and investors look for in a startup’s intellectual property, often including university‑licensed IP, when evaluating opportunities for partnership or investment. Margo will also explore when innovators should begin thinking about intellectual property, how to appropriately time disclosures and patent filings around publications or conference presentations, what types of IP protections exist and the kinds of innovations that can be patented, and practical strategies for building a strong and competitive IP foundation.
